Ponni Anand, Director of Business Development
Ponni has over 15 years of experience in biotechnology research and leadership. Before joining Astarte Biologics, she served as Senior Manager of the Gene and Cell Therapy Program for the University of Washington Medical Center, positioning the facility for academic-industry partnership.
During her tenure at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Ponni worked on many successful immunotherapy and stem cell therapy clinical trials, critical for launching companies like Juno Therapeutics and Nohla Therapeutics. She also helped launch RainCity Heart Lab, licensing technology from the University of Washington.
Ponni received an M.Sc. in Medical Biochemistry from Christian Medical College and an M.Sc. in Biology from York University. She graduated from the Executive MBA program at Seattle University with recognition and awards for business planning from Foster School of Business and Alber’s School of Business.
