With more than 5,000 attendees expected at the SLAS2017 International Conference & Exhibition in Washington, D.C. this February, there will be ample opportunities to discover, connect and grow.
This year’s theme, Research: The Possibilities, will focus on the rapid evolution of the life sciences industry. From new technologies to advanced research models, the industry is abuzz with excitement and opportunity.
If you’re attending SLAS2017, be sure to add these three events to your schedule:
1. Keynote Speaker Rachel Swaby
Wednesday, February 8th at 3:45pm
Rachel Swaby is the author of Headstrong: 52 Women Who Changed Science—and the World, which highlights the most prominent female scientists and the trailblazing legacies they’ve left behind.
Rachel’s book highlights the personalities and accomplishments of some of the brightest minds in biology, medicine, physics and more.
The excerpts and themes from her book will be sure to delight and inspire the SLAS community—both men and women—to inject creativity and imagination into their research.
2. Networking Opportunities—Something for Everyone!
