About Serum and Plasma

Whether you need normal controls or samples from patients with autoimmune diseases, we have serum and plasma samples in stock.

Our serum is separated from blood an hour after venipuncture and frozen in 1 mL aliquots. We collect into vacuum tubes without additives, but we can use serum separator tubes (SST) upon request.

We can collect plasma with a number of different anticoagulants such as:

  • Heparin
  • EDTA
  • Citrate

When it comes to donors, we have a variety, including:

  • Normal donors from age 21–67
  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), both antibody positive and antibody negative
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Sjögren’s Syndrome
  • Psoriasis
  • Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD)
  • Crohn’s Disease/IBS
  • Multiple Sclerosis

If you can’t find the serum or plasma samples you are looking for, please submit a custom request.
